My Point of View

This is my immediate point of view 3 or 4 times a day.

What this photo doesn't capture:

1. my heart swooning

2. sore, sometimes bitten nipples

3. murmured sighs of contentment and the sound of swallowing

4. milk dripping down the chin (or down my belly)

5. my hair being simultaneously stroked (sometimes pulled)

6. now-long legs kicking and flailing in the air; feet in my face, and on my chest

7. the softness of his gaze, through fluttering lids

8. did I already mention my swooning heart?

I love nursing.
